F.I.R.S.T.
Families Invested in Reading Stories Together

This important program provides reading practice at home. First graders are expected to read nightly with a reading partner using the books provided. F.I.R.S.T. books are kept for one week. Return books each Thursday and get your new books every Friday.

Math

Everyday Mathematics provides a rich and balanced curriculum with attention to numeration and computation as well as geometry, data and algebraic thinking. Look for homework- called Homelinks several times a week to provide a consistent and comprehensive home-school communication. Below is the official website from Everyday Mathematics-  an excellent resource for parents and students provided by Everyday Mathematics.
