BEFORE SCHOOL PROCEDURES

     
School Begins at 8:00 a.m.
  • Children should be dropped off on the blacktop behind the school. Enter the drop off area from Dry Grove.

  • Children should meet on the playground when they arrive at school (supervision begins at 7:30). In bad weather children will go immediately to the auditorium and will be supervised.

  • At approximately 7:50, children will line up by grade levels to go inside to the morning assembly. The kindergarten teachers will meet the children outside in their line at this time and they will walk together to the assembly located in Hayden Auditorium.

  • Each class has assigned seats in Hayden Auditorium.

  • If your child arrives at school later than 7:55, he/she will wait outside the Hayden Auditorium doors and join the class as they enter the auditorium.

  • Please do not bring children to the classroom to put their things away in the morning. They should take their backpack to the playground and assembly. Meetings with parents can be arranged by appointments; if you must speak to the teacher in the morning please drop your child off at the playground first. Before school is the teachers' time to prepare for the day. We will answer e-mail and phone messages promptly, and respond to notes.

  • REMINDER: Kindergarten classes will dismiss at 1:00 through September 29. The first full day will be October 2. Pick up your child on the blacktop behind the school. Teachers will take children to the cars, so parents do not need to leave their cars unattended. It is important to get dismissal running smoothly before October, when the entire school will begin dismissing at the same time.
