2008-2009 CHESSCATS CLUB SEASON
Chess club is preparing to begin the new season. Club may start as soon as Sept. 23rd.  More details to follow.

Tournaments.With the new year comes the tournament season. Check the BNSC website for all of the upcoming tournaments. We have begun collecting a "team fees" with these paid the Chess club will pay the tournament entry fees for our local tournaments.

New chess instructor. Colley Kitson is giving chess lessons to our intermediate and advanced players this year. Intermediate players began using their tactics workbooks this week. Help keep your chesscat up to date. We've already seen some amazing improvements in the play of some of our Chesscats.

The 2008-2009 Metcalf School Chess Season
Chess Club (for advanced and intermediate chesscats) meets regularly on Tuesdays in the Library from 3 to 4:30. Beginners information TBA.
