Handbook.
q
Students will receive a handbook at the first rehearsal that
will describe the program, give you updated concert dates, and other
detailed class information.
q
Students must take the handbook home after rehearsal and
return the back page signed by a parent/guardian within a week.
Registration
and Fees.
q
Make sure at registration you are signed up for band and/or
chorus. Contact me with any questions.
q
Students that use school instruments, will have an instrument
use fee of $30. A payment form will be in the handbook.
Required Uniform.
q
Dress up clothes. Look good! Show pride in your school and
your playing!
q
No jeans, shorts, or gym shoes/clothes.
Schedule.
q
6th grade band meets every Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Friday at 8:52
. Music Monday and Thursday.
q
7th and 8th band meets every Monday,
Wednesday, and Thursday at 9:28
chorus Tuesday and Friday
Students will generally need :
q
Band: Instruments in good working order, proper reeds, oil,
and supplies. Drummers sticks, and mallets.
q
Band: Music I give them, their lesson/time sheet, their
current lesson book.
q
Band: Name tags must be on their cases at all times.
q
Band & Vocal: A PENCIL!!!!!!
q
6th grade
music: 2 three ring binder that they will be required to have at every
class period, and a pencil.
q
6th band needs
Accent on Achievement Book 1 for their instrument, and 7/8 band needs
Book 2. All should have these from last year except 7th needs to
get book 2.
Responsibility.
q
Students must take handouts
home & return items when requested.
q
Important announcements are
made in class, in school announcements, by notes, and on the website.
