Computer Safety Tips

Keep computer in a "traffic" area

Establish house rules for the computer

Have your child show you what programs, sites they use

Set up sites for them in Favorites or as Bookmarks

Select safeguarding programs/options from your online service provider

Know & check/use all the computers that your child uses

Internet accounts should be in the parent's name

Control passwords, & use blocking/filtering devices

Children should use the Back button to get out of inappropriate sites and then tell an adult
