Scholastic Bowl Season
This year's scholastic bowl team had a very successful season ending with a record of 42 wins and 18 losses.  They placed 1st in the Brain Strain tournament, 2nd in the Sweetheart tournament, 2nd in the Knowledge Power tournament, and 3rd in the All Girls Tournament.  Emily Honzel, Shreya Shah, Rona Hunter, Mitch Styczynski, and Alexander Su will represent Metcalf in the all-star tournament on May 13th.


Roberta Maubach receives the Golden Apple Award
Third grade teacher, Roberta Maubach, is one of ten recipients of the 2008 Golden Apple Award in the 18-county Central Illinois Region. The final 10 were picked after a blind three-step process was completed. The process began with 600 nominations.  Read more.

Transportation Reimbursement Reminder!
June 30, 2008 is the deadline for qualifying parents or guardians to sign-up for the Parent/Guardian State Pupil Transportation Reimbursement Program. If you have not completed a claim form in the main office for the 2007-08 school year, please do so as soon as possible.

Spelling Bee Winner
